“That's why when we leave Ramadan and entering Shawwal, we return to our fitrah (human nature),” Lukman said on Friday, May 18.
Lukman said that fitrah is divided into two, namely basariah and insaniah. Basariah is the element of land in the human while insaniah is the element of spirituality.
Therefore, Lukman said, fasting in Ramadan should be an opportunity for Muslims to improve self-quality. It would be good that the quality of fasting can increase from the common fasting to the special fasting.
The common fasting, according to Lukman, limited to refrain from thirst, hunger, sexual activities and other things. Meanwhile, the special fasting holds all the senses, eyes, ears and all of the body parts from immorality, in addition to practicing the common fasting.
