TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - An entire family was found dead with gunshot wounds. Four members of the family were found in their rooms at their home in a housing complex in Bukit Sangkal Palembang, South Sumatra this morning.

The housekeeper first found the two children in their rooms when she was about to wake them up for school. The mother and mother were also found dead in their bedroom.

"The housekeeper was shocked when she opened the bedroom" Adj. Sr. Comr. Yoga Baskara of the South Sumatra Police said at the crime scene on Wednesday, October 24.

The four victims are Fransiskus Xaverius Ong (45), Margareth Yentin Liana (43), Rafael Fransiskus (18), and KF (12).

Yoga said the police are still investigating the cause of the family's death; gathering statements from the employees of the family and nearby residents. According to witnesses, Yoga said, the homeowner was still chatting with his neighbors at around 9 pm on the night before his death.

The social media took to assuming that the father committed murder-suicide, mainly because the police found a note saying "I am very tired. Forgive me." However, police officers said they cannot make a deduction just yet.

The victims' bodies have been taken to Bhayangkara Hospital for an autopsy.
