TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi hopes Indonesia can clinch 20 gold medals at the 2018 Asian Games.


"Now we have won nine gold medals, we hope to win 20 gold medals," he said at the Jakabaring Sport City Palembang Arena, South Sumatra, Friday, August 24.


Budi said he was very proud of Indonesia. "We host the Asian Games, having the LRT for Palembang is a pride. I came here specifically to watch beach volleyball, hoping our teams will win,” he said.

While watching the women's beach volleyball, the minister was seen cheering for Indonesian pair Desi Ratnasari-Yokebed Purari Eka, who took on Chinese Taipei. The game ended 2-0 for Indonesia.
