TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said the progress of the light rail transit (LRT) project development has progressed to 90 percent. Budi explained the dynamic test had been underway.
“I’ll visit [the project site] on Sunday. Based on the information that I received, they are currently conducting the dynamic test. We will inspect it on Sunday to ensure that it will be ready for Asian Games,” Budi said after attending the Investment Award event held at the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) on Thursday, July 12.

Budi revealed that the ticket price was initially set at around Rp10,000. However, no final decision has been made yet.
Meanwhile, the ticket price for LRT in Palembang has been set at Rp5,000-10,000 for the initial phase. “Hopefully the price will not burden the public as passengers,” said South Sumatera Transportation Agency head Nelson Firdaus on Tuesday, July 10.
