2018 Thomas Cup: Firman Won, Indonesia Defeat Canada 5-0

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian team managed to win the victory over Canada with the score 5-0 in Group B Thomas Cup in Bangkok, Thailand, on Sunday, May 20. Firman Abdul Kholik became the last Indonesian player to win with 21-8 and 21-11 from Paul Antoine Dostie Guindon.


Firman performed well without any strong constraints. He managed to gain success from the beginning to finally win in 22 minutes. "I’ve tried the field in advance, felt the wind a bit tight to the right side. No problem in the game, but [I’m] more focused to face the opponents from Thailand and Korea," said Firman after the match at Impact Arena Bangkok.


Furthermore, Indonesia team will fight against Thailand on Tuesday, May 22. Firman promised to will appear more leverage should he appointed to play.


"For the next [match], I’ll have more practice in the field, and not easily waste points. If I’m trusted to represent Indonesia, I will try as much as possible for the team, especially for the country," said Firman.
