Names Discussed by Gerindra to be the Vice President for Prabowo

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Central Executive Board (DPP) of Gerindra Party is discussing the 15 names as the candidates for the vice president to accompany Prabowo Subianto in 2019 presidential election.
"We are still talking about the names of the candidates," said Gerindra’s Deputy Secretary General Andre Rosiade on Monday, March 19.
Prabowo Subianto has not been officially declared to propose himself as a candidate. But Andre ensures that his general chairman will. A declaration of support for Prabowo as a presidential candidate is planned in early April.

Andre also mentioned a number of figures whose names are listed. They are PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan, PKS President Sohibul Iman, former TNI Commander General Gatot Nurmantyo, former Coordinator Minister of Marine Affairs Rizal Ramli, West Nusa Tenggara Governor M Zainul Majdi or Tuan Guru Bajang (TGB) and former Chairman of the Constitutional Court Mahfud MD.
He also mentioned a number of figures who have met with Prabowo. "Mr. Gatot has met with Mr. Prabowo, Mr. Gatot has entered our radar," said Andre.
Andre predicts the vice presidential figures will strengthen if Prabowo has declared himself.
"The names will be discussed again with the certainty of the coalition, so far, most likely Gerindra will be with PKS," he said.
