TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono said that Jakarta Police's investigators are still tracing the money allegedly used to finance an alleged treason involving 11 individuals arrested on December 2, 2016.

Argo revealed that the Jakarta Police will coordinate with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) to find individuals acting as the financiers.

"We will definitely work with the PPATK," Argo said at his office in Jakarta on Thursday, December 8, 2016.

Argo added that investigators are currently verifying information on fund flows from and to a number of activists. The information revealed that son of former President Soeharto, Hutomo "Tommy" Mandala Putra was one of the financiers.

"The information was circulated on social media. We need to verify the information. But Police will still be looking into it," Argo added.

According to Argo, police found data indicating that there were several individuals who funded the plan.

"We're still investigating them, because they did not disburse the money in small amounts," he said.

Argo added that investigators are also sorting roles played by the suspects. He revealed that investigators have enough evidences to charge the suspects.

"They can deny the allegation, but we have video footages and letters as proofs," Argo claimed.

Earlier, Police named eight activists as suspects over an alleged treason case. One of the suspects, Sri Bintang Pamungkas, has been detained, while seven others are allowed to stay outside the jail.
