Body Part Found in Belezza Apartment in South Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A human body part has been found in front of a wastafel in a bathroom of floor 23 A LV 6 Belezza Apartment Permata Hijau, Jalan Letjen Soepeno, North Grogol, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 5 p.m. Police said that it was a woman’s body part.


“We suspect it was woman’s,” Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations chief Sr. Comr. Awi Setiyono told repoters, Wednesday, June 29, 2016.


Awi said that the the apartment janitor Istroji found the body part wrapped in black plastic bag and cream curtain. Earlier, the apartment owner Yulius Sukur had asked Istroji to clean the room in which the body part was found. Isroji headed upstairs and opened the door.


He smelled strong odour when the door opened. He traced the source of the odour. It was apparently came from the bathroom. He then found a body part wrapped in black plastic bag and cream curtain in front of the wastafel. Comr. Awi did not specify what body part was found.


“In early May 2016, the witness came to the crime scene to clean it up, but nothing happened,” Comr. Awi said. He suspect the victim was murdered. There has yet any clue to the identity of the victim.
