TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Bekasi administration, West Java, has improved the infrastructure of its main terminal for better security and comfort of bus passenger in this year's Eid homecoming.
“We have carried out some improvement for convenient access of passengers to buses,” said Bekasi Terminal Administration Head Teddy Abdul Hakim in Bekasi on Monday, June 27, 2016, as quoted by Antara.
Bekasi administration has among others painted some facilities and cleaned bus corridors, as well as every corner of the terminal. “A fresh and clean look will hopefully make passengers feel comfortable,” he said.
Aside from convenience, the administration will also step up security in the terminal. Therefore, the terminal operator has installed five security cameras.
“To quickly detect possible crimes,” he said.
Some 16 security personnel will also be deployed in two shifts. “During the homecoming, we will be assisted by police officers,” he said.
Meanwhile, security measures will be carried out on operational hours of the terminal, from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m.
“However, during peak homecoming season, security measures will be carried out non-stop because buses for homecoming will operate the whole day,” Teddy said.
