Police Arrest Two People for Faking Duty Stamps

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Officers of the Tanjung Priok Police Crime Investigation Division arrested two people for allegedly making fake duty stamp. Both RDW (42 years-old) and RDS (22 years-old), were arrested before they had a chance to distribute the fake stamps.
Adj. Comr. Victor Inkiriwang, Chief of the Crime Investigation Division said that the fake stamps was planned to be distributed in Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, and North Jakarta. "The stamps that were about to distributed have been confirmed as fake," Victor said on Monday, March 7, 2016.
Police officers arrested RDW on February 24, 2016, and confiscated 110 duty stamps and Rp 500,000 cash as evidence. The next day, the Police arrested RDS and found of 775 duty stamps.
Victor said that RDS and RDW are subject to maximum of seven years imprisonment for selling, offering, and distributing fake stamps.
