TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Johan Budi Sapto Pribowo, the Presidential Special Staff on Communication said that the State Palace is aware of the ongoing debate between several ministers in relation to the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train project.

"We did notice debates among ministers, related to the Transportation Minister and other [ministers]," Johan said on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. Johan said that since the very beginning, it is clear that the President has given his approval for the project. However, after the ground breaking process, the project begins to attract public attention, including the House of Representatives.

Johan affirmed that the President will continue to evaluate and monitor the project in relation to the effort to verify public aspirations with the facts found in the field. "Constant evaluation will be carried out by the President. There will be a meeting to discuss the issue," Johan said.

The former Corruption Eradication Commission chief said that other permits that have not been issued will be processed along with the project's construction phase. Johan added that as project progresses, President Joko Widodo will continue to consider inputs from the public and the House of Representatives.
