TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) will apply much simpler licensing process for investments valued above Rp 100 billion, and/or investments that could absorb at least 1,000 workforce. Investors can take advantage of a new 3-hour service by contacting a priority investment officer.
Investors can now directly bring their personal identification card, including passport, foreign company establishment deed and the company's production activity information, and meet with BKPM Service Director.
"Investors can wait in a lounge. The priority investment officer will handle the entire file and submit it to the investor once everything is done," BKPM Chief Franky Sibarani said in Jakarta on Monday, January 11, 2016.
The new 3-hours licensing service was inaugurated by Vice President Jusuf Kalla. The service aimed at facilitating labor-intensive investment and is aimed at simplifying the long period required to handle licenses.
Previously, the entire licensing process can take up to 23-days. "Now it only takes 3 hours," Kalla said.
