Budi Waseso Needed In Narcotics Agency: Police

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - National Police Head of Public Relations, Inspector General Anton Charliyan, said that the former Head of Criminal Investigations Commissioner General Budi Waseso has the courage to eradicate illegal drugs.
“[Budi Waseso] was appinted as Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), because he was assessed to have enough courage to eradicate narcs," Anton told the media on Friday, September 4.
He said BNN needs more people like Budi Waseso. "We need his approach ... drugs is an international problem and because Indonesia has stated narcotics emergency.”
Anton defended Budi Waseso’s transfer, saying that it was based on the needs of the organization. "It has nothing to do with [any] corruption case," he said.
