TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Comr. Gen. Budi Waseso, Chief of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) of the National Police said that his team will anticipate the circulation of counterfeit money after the Rupiah exchange rate hits Rp 14,000 per US Dollar.
"There's no [counterfeit money] now, but we will [anticipate] counterfeit money," said Budi Waseso on Tuesday, August 25, 2015.
Budi said that Bareskrim has worked with Bank Indonesia and the National Intelligence Agency to eradicate the circulation of counterfeit money.
Budi added that anticipation measures will be carried out in all regions across Indonesia. "Not only in West Java. We will monitor all regions," Budi said.
