TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Djarot Saiful Hidajat deplored that there is not yet an agreement between the Jakarta Transportation Department with the operator of Transjakarta Integrated Border Transportation (APTB) regarding per kilometer payment system. Even so, Djarot asked the related unit to hold a meeting to find the solution.

Former Regent of Blitar hoped that the APTB would join in PT Transjakarta management. It means, its operational will use per kilometer system, where it is the same with other Transjakarta bus operators. Thus, the public transport can be integrated.

“APTB should join [Transjakarta], thus we can know how much fares that must be paid via per kilometer. We just want it to be integrated. Let’s discuss it and find the solution together,” he uttered at the City Hall.

Djarot mentioned that the APTB buses are much needed by people as feeder buses. By so, it can attract more people to switch to the public transport. “Our objective is to provide the best service to passenger,” he stressed.

As known, the APTB cannot operate in the city because there is not yet an agreement on payment of rupiah per kilometer system with Jakarta Transportation Department. The bus only allowed to operate until the bus stop close to the border between Jakarta and patnering region. If the bus is still operated in the city, the route licensing will be revoked.
