TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Campos Racing racer from Indonesia, Rio Haryanto came up as the sixth fastest in the GP2 Bahrain free practice at the Bahrain International Circuit, Bahrain, on Friday, April 17, by recording 1 minute 43,043 second on the timesheet. His team mate Arthur Pic finished on the 5th with 1 m 42,948 s time.

Rio said his mechanic team have done well in setting the car.

“The car dashed competitively, but a bit of setting adjustment is still needed,” Rio said through a short message on Friday.

Although Rio is satisfied with the oerall result, he said it could have been better without the yellow flag raised for ART Grand Prix’s Soffel Vandroone car that broke down in the last seven minutes.

“It’s a good result in the free practice and I am ready for the qualification. I hope it ends well,” Rio added.

Racing Engineering’s rookie Jordan King hit the top in the free practice with 1 m 42.441 s, followed by his team mate Alexandre Rossi who is 0.010 second slower.

Qualification session will be started on 20:00 local time (00.00 Jakarta time) in the cooler temperature.
