Minister Jonan Promises Easy Licensing Process

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transportation Minister Ignasius Jonan, promised that he will help to provide easy licensing process in the transportation sector. "It is only issuing paper, right. No more budget is needed as we have paid the employees," said Jonan.

Jonan said that a transportation permit is essential for transportation operator and entrepreneurs. During his time as a minister, Jonan promised that he will try to make licensing processes as simple as possible.

Moreover, he added that providing easy licensing process was one of the mandate given by President Joko Widodo.

However, Jonan claimed that he will not make his own program and policy. Instead, he said that he will adjust the program and policy in accordance with President Joko Widodo's instructions. "We are merely the administrator," he said.
