TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Deputy Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama said he was not frightened by the planned protest by the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) tomorrow.

"Tomorrow, right?" It's fine. I'm used to it," Ahok said. "President SBY has faced this kind of demonstration for ten years, and he did not step down from his post," he added.

Earlier, the FPI said it would stage a protest rally to the Jakarta Legislative Council building, which is located at the same complex as Ahok's office.

The FPI has erected multiple banners in the capital against the installation of Ahok as the next top man of the capital.

Commenting on the planned protest, Ahok said he did not prepare any plan to face it. "Just normal. Go to work normally. What are they going to do, plant a mine?" he said jokingly. "I don't feel threatened."
