Cheating Judge to Face Honorary Assembly Hearing

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - The Supreme Court and Judicial Commission will hold a hearing of honorary assembly judges today against JE, 47, an ad-hoc judge of the High Court Corruption of Yogyakarta.
"JE is seen to have violated the code of ethics of a judge," said a member of the Judicial Commission of Supervisory Judge and Investigation Area, Eman Suparman.
The hearing of JE will be held in Wiryono Room in the Supreme Court Building.
JE is suspected to have an affair with a woman with an initial of DA. The affair has been going on for 10 years. DA reported JE's action to the Judicial Commission. She was upset and felt betrayed since he failed to keep his promise to marry her as a second wife.
For his action, JE is threatened with a punishment of a permanent dishonorable discharge or sacked from the position as a judge.
