TEMPO.CO, Jakarta- The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) has received a report on an alleged sexual harassment case against a minor at Fun World, Botani Square, Bogor, West Java.

Bethania Eden Thenu, the victim’s mother, reported Ria Prihartini, a female employee at Fun World, as the alleged suspect.

“My husband and eye witnessed it with our own eyes that that employee squeezed our sons’ genital organ,” Bethania told the press at the KPAI building on Tuesday, August 26, 2014.

She said the incident took place on August 7, when her five-year-old son, identified by his initials only as MT, was playing at Fun World, Botani Square. She said the suspect forced MT to enter an attraction, touched his chin while grabbing his shoulder, and then squeezed his genital organ.

“My son was shocked. He ran into our car and curled while covering his eyes with his hands. He looked terrified,” she said.

Bethania said she had also filed a report with the Bogor Police and police investigators had probed all witnesses and secure closed-circuit television footage as evidence.

The suspect will be charged with Article 83 of the Law on Child Protection No. 23 Year 2002with a possible punishment of three to fifteen years in prison.
