TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The police suspected that Artha Graha Group executive Wisnu Tjandra was still alive and well despite being missing for a month. "God willing, he is still alive," said Jakarta Police general crime director Sr. Comr. Heru Pranoto.
Heru said the police had yet to receive any information on Wisnu's whereabouts or any clue of his possibly being murdered. He added these were part of the reasons the police suspected that Wisnu had not been kidnapped, in addition to that there had been no demand for ransom from any party either.
"The [results of our] analysis is that he is hiding," Heru said.
Wisnu was reported missing on May 11, 2014. He was last seen at Sarinah shopping mall in Thamrin area. Artha Graha Group, which belongs to politically-wired tycoon Tomy Winata, said they were bereft of any clue on why Tomy is hiding, adding that their only concern was for Wisnu to be found safely.
