TEMPO.CO, New Delhi - Indonesian men's team advances to the semifinal match of Thomas Cup in New Delhi, India, after winning the quarter-final match against South Korea 3-2 last night.


Simon Santoso who played in the last match became the key factor for Indonesia’s victory after defeating Huang Jong Soo 21-12 22-20. The world’s number 34 was able to maintain his composure despite the heavy burden on his shoulder to bring victory to the team.


The champion of 2014 Singapore Open forced his opponent fora rally play and occasionally delivered drop shots.


In the semifinal round today, Indonesia was scheduled to face Malaysia, who defeated Denmark 3-1.
