TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT PLN set a cooperation with the Transparency International Indonesia (TII) to implement the principle of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) for the period of 2014-2016 inside the State-owned Electrical Company PLN.
PLN CEO Nur Pamudji mentioned that the cooperation was meant to eliminate internal and external resistance. "We truly plan to battle corruption," he said.
Nur stated that PLN plans to fight corruption without the assistance of other parties, causing numerous attacks from inside and outside the corporation. Therefore, Nur said that he wants to continue the cooperation between PLN and TII in order to create integrated human resources, transparent system, and critical mass.
The boards chief of TII, Natalia Subagio, stated that the cooperation is not like consultant-client relation. "This is a partnership between PLN and TII, both committed to create a 'clean' PLN," she said.
