In a house that was suspected to shelter illegal migrant workers, the police secured over 161 female worker candidates, 20 of which are underage. Initial investigation showed that they were about to be smuggled abroad.

The workers were acquired from various sponsors from East and West Nusa Tenggara, as well as several areas in Java and Borneo. They were brought to shelter in the house, before departing to designated countries like Malaysia, Hongkong, and Singapore.

One among the worker candidates, 'F', 26, mentioned that she has been in the shelter for two months. She left her hometown in East Nusa Tenggara over work offer and initial pay-off Rp1 million.
