TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Law and Human Rights Minister Amir Syamsuddin, stated that recent shooting of Wirogunan Penitentiary warden Agus Sustetyo, was driven by personal motives. However, he refused to conclude whether the matter was related to the penitentiary. "It is still under investigation," Amir said at the Presidential Palace, Thursday, August 8.
National Police chief Gen. Timur Pradopo said that the police have not found any evidence to determine the suspect. He claimed that the police are still investigating and collecting evidences and testimonies. "There has not been any comprehensive information," Timur said.
Two men on a motorcycle shot Agus at the Wirogunan Penitentiary on Wednesday, August 7. Police found two projectiles suspected to be originated from the shooter's weapon. Agus was brought to the Bethesda Lempuyang Wangi Hospital and Panti Rapih Hospital in Yogyakarta.
