TEMPO.CO, Chicago- Chicago security officials said that at least six people were killed and 11 others were wounded in an act of violence last weekend.
The police is currently investigating the death of Charles Jones (42) who was shot in the head on Sunday, May 26. Cook County medical officers said that Jones was pronounced dead at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital around 3:30 a.m local time. Another victim was a man who was shot in the armpit and later pronounced dead at a suburban hospital.
Similar shooting incident also occurred on Saturday, May 25, killing two people, including Fearro Denard (18) and a 29-year-old man who was shot not far from President Barack Obama's home in South Side.
Meanwhile on Friday, May 24, two people - a 17-year-old and 22-year old - were killed in separate shootings.
For the past few months, the United States has been experiencing a significant increase of shooting incidents. The US is currently struggling whether to restrict the possession of firearms or not.
