Asian Para Games Torch Relay to be Held in Indonesia`s Cities

TEMPO.CO, Surakarta - The Indonesian Asian Para Games Organizing Committee (INAPGOC) will hold a torch relay parade in several cities in the country to welcome the 2018 Asian Para Games in Jakarta.
The fire will be taken from Mrapen in Grobogan on Wednesday, September 5. “The fire will be brought directly to Solo to be paraded,” said the person in charge for the 2018 Asian Para Games Torch Relay, Ageng Nugroho, in Solo, Monday, September 3.
From Solo, the fire will be brought to Ternate on September 9 and then to Makassar on September 12. After that, it will be brought to Bali to be paraded on September 16, and to Kalimantan to be paraded in Pontianak on September 19.
From Pontianak, the torch will be brought to Medan to be paraded on September 23 and to Pangkal Pinang on September 26. Furthermore, the torch will be brought to the venue of the 2018 Asian Para Games, Jakarta, to be paraded on September 30.
This prestigious sports event for disabled athletes throughout Asia will take place in Jakarta from October 6 to 13.
The 2018 Asian Para Games athletes will compete in 18 sports, namely archery, para-athletics, badminton, boccia, chess, bicycle, goalball, judo, lawn ball, weightlifting, swimming, shooting, ten-pin bowling, table tennis, volleyball, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair fencing, and wheelchair tennis.
