Finance Minister Sri Mulyani to Attend IMF-WB Spring Meeting

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati will leave for Washington DC to attend the International Monetary Fund-World Bank (IMF-WB) Spring Meeting that is set to be held from April 20-22.
“The Finance Minister will fly to Washington DC to attend the spring meeting,” said Finance Minister Spokeswoman Dina Anandita on Monday evening.
The IMF–WB spring meeting will unite the IMF Board of Governors and the World Bank Group with central bankers, finance and development Ministers, members of the parliament, the tourism sector, and representatives of mass-organizations and academicians.

The meeting is scheduled to discuss current global issues such as the prospect of the world economy, eradication of poverty, economic development, and effectiveness of grants and presenting investors.
Other than Sri Mulyani, Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan will offer several projects for investors that attend the meeting. The IMF-WB spring meeting will also discuss Indonesia’s preparedness in hosting the upcoming IMF-World Bank Meeting in Nusa Dua, Bali on October 12-14.
