Susi Pudjiastuti will be Ready if Chosen as Jokowi`s Running Mate

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Fisheries and Maritime Affairs Minister Susi Pudjiastuti provided a casual response to the information circulating on her chances of being appointed as a Vice Presidential candidate for Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in the 2019 Presidential Election.
“Who would vote? To do so, I must go through the political party route, which I don’t have. I’m a Junior High graduate that has been granted the position to serve the President. That’s all,” Minister Susi said today, April 7.

Despite that, she said that she would be prepared to be granted the mandate to be Jokowi’s running-mate since she feels obliged as an Indonesian citizen. “I must be prepared for any state-calling. You wouldn’t be unprepared if the country asks you to, would you?” Susi concluded.
Furthermore, Susi Pudjiastuti revealed the criteria that would properly accompany Jokowi. She said that the person must be wise, has a specific characteristic, clever, and charismatic.
Asked whether she has met the criteria she had just explained, Susi calmly answered, “Well, I don’t know about that.”
In a poll done by Poltracking Indonesia that was announced last November, as much as 3.5 percent of respondent chose Susi Pudjiastuti as a running mate for President Jokowi.
