TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that the city administration will not deploy members of the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), Police, or Military to shut down Alexis.
A letter that circulated last week suggests that Jakarta’s Satpol PP requested backup from members of the police and military to shut down the night entertainment spot 4Play Club and Bar, formerly known as Alexis Hotel.

“We will not send a squad, but we sent a piece of paper,” said Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan while he announced the closure of the entertainment business today, March 27.
Aniesannounced in the press conference that he revoked the business certification (TDUP) of PT Grand Ancol Hotel, the company that supervises Alexis group. The governor signed the revocation letter on Thursday, March 22, which was sent to Grand Ancol Hotel managements the following day.
The initial plan to close down Alexis on Thursday last week was canceled by the Satpol PP, saying that the cancellation was due to the lack of coordination meeting.
