TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan stated he has yet able to decide about Jl. Jatibaru Raya, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta as he is studying the final report (LAHP) from Jakarta Ombudsman. “We are studying everything in the report, from then we will make a move,” he said in the City Hall, Monday, March 26.
Anies asserted that his staff had conducted research on Jl. Jatibaru Raya before closing the road on December 22, 2017. He claimed to ready submitting his result related to the road closure to Jakarta Police that currently investigating the matter. Previously, Jakarta Police’s traffic directorate urged the city officials to reopen the road to its initial function, as also suggested in Ombudsman’s findings.

Earlier, Jakarta Ombudsman revealed the findings of Jakarta administration regulation on the Tanah Abang reorganization yesterday. The Task Executor Dominikus Dalu explained four items of maladministration by the city administration in executing its policy of street vendor (PKL) reorganization.
Dominikus demanded the city official to revise the policy by restoring the initial function of Jl. Jatibaru Raya within the next 60 days. He explained, the LAHP was an investigation result, but it might be a recommendation had no improvement is taken.
“The recommendation has a higher legal force, so Jakarta officials have to obey it,” said Dominikus.
The Ministry of Home affair planned to summon Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan if he ignored the recommendation by Ombudsman regarding the reorganization of Tanah Abang, as stated by Soni Sumarsono, the ministry’s Director General of Regional Autonomy.
