TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The policy package of congestion handling on Jakarta - Cikampek toll road, including the odd-even system, will be periodically evaluated. "Once a week it will be evaluated to formulate what steps that need to be taken to improve its impact and effectiveness," said Head of Jakarta Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) Bambang Prihartono in Jakarta on Tuesday, March 13.
So far, Bambang said, its implementation has a positive effect on the traffic smoothness. "A lot of positive responses," he said. "People are well-monitored both from social media as well as from mainstream mass media, generally speaking, that the traffic condition of Jakarta-Cikampek becomes much smoother by the time the policy implemented," he said.

With the positive response, said Bambang, BPTJ increasingly encouraged to continue to improve. "The goal of this policy is to provide better service for the community, we will continue to make improvements," he said.
In order to continue improving the policy, Bambang said, it will accept responses from the community. Feedback, input or response can be submitted via email: bptj@dephub.go.id or social media account bptjkemenhub (Instagram) and bptj 151 (twitter, facebook).
"I will also encourage operators to accept public responses through their social media accounts, I see PT Jasa Marga already taking the initiative," he said.

Based on the data from PT Jasa Marga on Monday, there were significant changes on the first day of the implementation of three congestion-handling policies on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.
The policy on the toll gate of Bekasi Barat I of Jakarta direction has decreased the number of private vehicles entering about 30 percent from the usual, 2,600 vehicles to 1,820, while the toll gate of Bekasi Barat II Jakarta direction is down 38 percent from the original, 3,000 vehicles to 1,852 vehicles.
The decline also occurred at the East Bekasi toll gate by 35 percent from the usual 2400 vehicles to 1,545 vehicles.
However, the data also indicate behavioral changes in private vehicle users, for example, there is a tendency for private vehicle users to leave early before the odd-even system is implemented at 06:00-09:00.
