Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S with Snapdragon 845 to be released on March

TEMPO.CO, Beijing - Beijing-based tech company Xiaomi will release Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S at the trade show of 2018 Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona on March 27.

The integrated phone will be the successor to Mi Mix 2 2017, said Xiaomi company spokesman Donovan Sung in a Twitter post. He also confirmed that Mi Mix 2S will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.

Snapdragon 845 is the same chip used by Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus in some markets, and the phone is expected to go on sale in mid-March.

Sung also posted a mysterious number on his Twitter "273741" which is a reference to the phone score on the AnTuTu benchmark tool. That, if the number is true, it shows Mi Mix 2S as a great smartphone in its launching time.

The phone naming as Mi Mix 2S since there are no other major hardware changes on this phone, apart from the Snapdragon 845 chip. Mi Mix 2 has the current best processor, Snapdragon 835 in it, with a 5.99-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2160 pixels at a PPI of 403 pixels per inch.

The phone provides 6 GB of RAM, storage options 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB, and is powered by 3,300 or 3,400 mAh battery. There is yet announcement of the price or market shop availability for Xiaomi Mix Mi 2S, though it is likely to be launched first in China and India.
