Prostitution Allegation at Alexis, Sandiaga Uno: Wait for Report

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno did not want to speculate about the prostitution practice that allegedly still occur at Alexis Hotel. Jakarta Administration will determine after there is an official report from the Tourism Department.
According to Sandiaga, a team from the Tourism and Culture Department has been sent to confirm the allegation. The sanction will follow the rules of legislation.

“I have said it many times, we want the industry of tourism, restaurant, to support Jakarta economy,” he said. “At the end, we want to create jobs.”
Related to alleged prostitution in Alexis, Jakarta Administration has met with the board of Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) and Indonesian Chamber of Commerce Industry (KADIN). In the meeting, they agreed to abide by the rules.

“We do not want any night entertainment that is prone to prostitution and drugs problems,” he said.
