TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Administration has no longer issued an operational permission for Alexis Hotel management since October 31, 2017. Because the government found evidence that the place became a hotbed of prostitution.
In fact, the prostitution business never dies there. The conclusion was based on Tempo's investigation in early January. Former Chairman of the Nightclubs Entrepreneur Association, Anhar Nasution, said from thousands of nightclubs in Jakarta, there are only three major groups, namely Alexis, Malio, and Illigals. “They are the biggest in Jakarta,” he said.
According to Anhar, Malio Group is in charge of Malio and Classic Hotel, owned by Rudy Susanto and Arief Prijatna. While the owner of Illigals, is Iwan Tjahyadikarta. Alexis founded by Alex Tirta Juwana Darmadji.
The deed of PT Grand Ancol Hotel, the owner of Alexis Hotel’s company, did not mention Alex's name. On the deed, the hotel owner is Gold Square Enterprises Limited and Sension Overseas Limited, a tax haven company, British Virgin Islands.

The deed also mentioned Djoko Sardjono, who lived in the Special Forces Command Residential area, Cijantung, East Jakarta, as the director. While the commissioner of the company served by Sudarto, a resident of Kojan Village, Kalideres, West Jakarta.
According to the Djoko’s neighborhood unit, who did not want to be named, there is no resident named Djoko. While Sudarto's house is in a narrow alley of a slum area that cannot be crossed by a car. Alex Tirta is unwilling to respond to the obscurity of Alexis owner. “I'm no longer taking care of it (Alexis Hotel) anymore,” he said. Head of the TNI (National Military) Information Center, Major General Sabrar Fadhilah, said that he did not know the possibility of any soldiers who involved in the prostitution business. “Visiting nightclubs is already prohibited for soldier, not to mention to secure it,” he said. The TNI will crack down on personnel who involved in night entertainment world.
