TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno said that he has reported to Jakarta Corruption Prevention Committee (KPK Jakarta) two cases revealed by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) during the Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) administration.
Sandiaga Uno said that the two cases are the land acquisition in Cengkareng in November 2015 by Jakarta Housing Office from Toeti Soekarno, who claimed to be the land owner. The office had planned to build low-cost apartments on the 4.6 hectares of land. The second case is the acquisition of a plot of land belonged to Sumber Waras Hospital in December 2014 by then-governor Ahok.

The BPK revealed its findings in the land acquisition in Cengkareng worth Rp648 billion plus Rp20 billion in taxes after the Supreme Court ruled that the land belonged to Jakarta Marine and Logistics Office.
Meanwhile, the 3.6 hectares of land belonged to Sumber Waras Hospital was acquired by then-governor Ahok at Rp755 billion based on the taxable object value (NJOP) of Rp20.7 million per square meter. But a BPK audit shows that the land acquisition process violated the rule, causing Rp191 billion in state losses.
Sandiaga views that the cases are anomalies that are typically found at the end of the year. Land acquisitions are aimed at boosting the city’s full-year budget absorption, creating the hockey-stick growth curves.
“[Land acquistions] in Sumber Waras and Cengkareng arose in December,” he said.
To avoid the repetition of cases occurred during the Ahok administration, Sandiaga Uno will form a team to accelerate budget absorption under the supervision of KPK Jakarta.
