Govt to Add Regions for Implementation of One-Price Fuel Program

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) announced that the government would add the number of locations in the country that enjoy one-price fuel program.
"All over Indonesia, there are 17 locations where the program is implemented. It is expected that there will be more places that can enjoy one-price fuel program especially in remote areas, although the terrain is difficult, it has to be done,” Jokowi said in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Dec. 29.

“This one-price fuel policy program has triggered the economy, so, in the future, regions (which have not enjoyed the program) can also develop like others,” the President said.
In the implementation of the program, Jokowi also stressed supervision from related stakeholders such as security apparatus, regional governments and other stakeholders.
“Many people were in doubts when the program was first announced and were not sure the program could be implemented due to the high costs,” Jokowi said.
