TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Setya Novanto insists that he is still the House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker despite growing pressure to step down after being detained as a suspect in the electronic ID cards (e-KTP) graft case.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday questioned Setya Novanto as a suspect in the graft case that caused Rp2.3 trillion in state losses.
The Golkar Party chairman said he is in good condition after being detained at the KPK detention house in East Jakarta.
As of now, the KPK has questioned Novanto as a suspect for three times.

Earlier, Otto Hasibuan, Setya Novanto’s defense lawyer said that his client was grilled with 48 questions by investigators in the e-KTP graft case.
The lawyer said that his client was not feeling well during the questioning. “He was unwell but he insisted and said ‘I must conclude it now’…” he said.
He confirmed that Novanto will be cooperative in the KPK investigation process.
The KPK once again named the House Speaker as a suspect in the e-KTP graft case on November 10.
Setya Novanto, businessman Anang Sugiana Sudihardjono, businessman Andi Agustinus alias Andi Narogong, former home affairs ministry officials Irman and Sugiharto allegedly involved in the e-KTP graft case causing Rp2.3 trillion in state losses.
