Madura United coach Gomes Oliviera said that he will not give up despite the fact that his team is unlikely to win the league. Madura United currently sit in the fourth position in the table with 5 points fewer than the league leaders Bali United that have collected 65 points.

“We have to give our best to locals before the competition ends,” Gomes said.
Midfielder Slamet Nurcahyo said that his team is no longer eyeing Liga 1 title. He said that Madura United will instead be concentrating on getting the best results in their final two matches this season.
“Whether we can win it or not, I no longer think about it. One thing’s for sure: we should win our final two matches...” Nurchayo said.
