TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has confirmed that he will not issue Hotel Alexis` business permit as the government found strong evidence of prostitution business practiced at the hotel.
“Therefore, we made a decision to revoke the hotel and massage parlor permits,” he said at the City Hall on Wednesday, November 1.
According to Anies, Alexis employed 104 foreign workers who legally entered the country and held work permits. However, the work permits had expired as Alexis was closed.

In response to a question related to prostitution at Hotel Alexis, Anies declined to answer. “I have revealed [the evidence] since January. All this time, my team have been working to collect solid data,” he said.
