TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Alexis Group management publically responded to the business permit discontinuation of Hotel Alexis and Alexis therapy clinic by Jakarta Administration.
Alexis Group spokesperson Lina Novita said that the company is willing to cooperate with the Jakarta provincial government to work out a solution regarding the business permit termination.
“We plead to Jakarta Officials, which in this case is the licensing agency, to provide us with the best solution,” said Lina during a press conference on Tuesday, October 31. She also stated that company managements have temporarily stopped all operations, including its hotel and therapy clinic.
According to Lina, the Alexis Group management respects the government’s decision to temporarily terminate their business that was issued by the Jakarta Investment Agency and One Stop Integrated Service (PTSP). The company also declared that they do not plan to file a lawsuit and hopes that the problem can be solved through alternative ways.
Lina also firmly denied allegations suggesting that the hotel and massage services violated the law by accommodating activities related to drug offenses and prostitution practices. “No violations have ever been found,” she said.
Last week, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan discontinued the business permit of Hotel Alexis. His decision is stated in a reply letter sent by the PTSP on October 27.
