TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - AirAsia is expanding its network to India by opening up a new route between Bali's capital Denpasar and Kolkata, the capital of India's state of West Bengal. There are four flights between the two cities in one week starting today, October 2, 2017.
Passengers booking this flight are flown on an AirAsia Airbus A320-200 aircraft. The plane flies between Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport.
The launch of the Kolkata-Denpasar route by AirAsia is the airline's way of supporting the development of international connectivity.
AirAsia Group Indonesia CEO Dendy Kurniawan, said AirAsia wants to continue to develop the aviation industry by allowing more people to enjoy quality air travel at affordable rates.
The journey between Kolkata and Denpasar is about 7.5 hours long, including a short stop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
