TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Wednesday, September 6, left to Singapore. Widodo will stay in Singapore until September 7 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of bilateral partnerships between Indonesia and Singapore.
"We will increase trust between both countries," Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung said in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 5.
According to Pramono, Indonesia and Singapore seek to improve bilateral cooperation in the economic sector; including the development of a digital economy that is currently growing rapidly.
Pramono said that Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and President Jokowi are scheduled to attend several activities together.
"There will be outdoor activities, just like when President Jokowi met with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull," he added.
President Jokowi left from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport at around 15:15 this afternoon. He was accompanied by State Secretary Minister Pratikno, Coordinating Minister for the Environment Luhut Panjaitan, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, and Education and Culture Minister Muhadjir Effendy.
