China Airlines Officially Operates at International Terminal 3

TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - China Airlines Airlines officially operates in Terminal 3 International Soekarno-Hatta Airport, today, Tuesday, August 8, 2017. Flight CI 761 destination Taipei-Jakarta is the inaugural flight of foreign airlines incorporated in the Skyteam alliance.
"Welcome to China Airlines at Terminal 3. Preparation for the welcome we have done," said Branch Communication Manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Dewandono Prasetyo Nugroho, Tuesday, August 8, 2017.
China Airlines is the fifth foreign carrier to move from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 during July-August 2017. Earlier, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, Korean Airlines and Xiamen Airlines had already served its passengers at Terminal 3 International.
The other airlines incorporated in Skyteam are Aeroflot, Aerolineas Argentinas, Aeromexico, Air Europa, Air France, Alitalia, China Eastern, China Southern, Czech Airlines, Delta Airlines, Kenya Airways, KLM, Korean Air, MEA, and Tarom.
Prasetyo said one of the goals of Skyteam international airline's switch from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 is to break down the passenger density. "Currently, the operational transfer of Skyteam to Terminal is going well, because PT Angkasa Pura II as the manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport has optimized the facilities and infrastructure in Terminal 3."
PT Angkasa Pura II as the manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport maximizes the service and facilities, such as the airside and landside. "The operational shift has been in accordance with the PT Angkasa Pura II roadmap," Prasetyo said.
Terminal 3 International is equipped with a number of digital facilities such as baggage handling system (BHS), flight information display system (FIDS) with the most modern technology, and supported smartphone application that enables airplane passengers or airport visitors to easily look or parking locations, make taxi reservations, look at flight schedules, and so forth.
To support the smooth operation, Terminal 3 is also equipped with 64 immigration counters, each with 32 immigration counters on departure and arrival. In addition there are also a total of 32 immigration auto- gates, where each 15 immigration auto-gates at Departures and 17 immigration auto-gates at Arrivals.
