TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Paris St. Germain (PSG) managed to sell 10,000 jerseys with Neymar`s name on the first day of his transfer from Spanish giant Barcelona.
Neymar came from Barcelona as the most expensive player in the world. With €222 million paid to Barcelona, the price tag was way higher than prices to lure other world class players, such as Romelu Lukaku, Gonzalo Higuain, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Paul Pogba.

Not only expected as a goal machine, PSG hopes that Neymar will be able to boost the club’s income. On his first day at the club, Neymar contributed €1 million through the jersey sales.
Given the figure, PSG should retrieve the money paid to purchase Neymar by March next year. However, PSG is bound to share the income with Neymar’s sponsor Nike, hence it would take two years for the club to reach a break-even point.
