TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two e-KTP graft defendants, Irman and Sugiharto, have been proven guilty of enriching themselves, and others or corporations, including Markus Nari. His name was mentioned in the electronic ID card (e-KTP) trial today, July 20.

The court sentenced Irman and Sugiharto to 7 and 5 years imprisonment respectively in the case that has caused a Rp2.3 trillion state loss.

The panel of judges declared that Irman received a US$300,000 from Andi Agustinus and US$200,000 from Sugiharto. Meanwhile, Sugiharto received US$30,000 from Paulus Tannos and US$20,000 from Johannes Marliem which was used to purchase a Honda Jazz car worth Rp150 million.

The sentencing hearing mentioned three House of Representative members who allegedly received the bribe money in the e-KTP graft case, namely Markus Nari, Miryam S. Haryani, and Ade Komarudin.

Markus Nari received US$400,000, Miryam received US$200,000, and Ade Komarudin received US$100,000. "The grafts have benefited the suspects and other parties," judge Anwar said during the sentencing hearing for Irman and Sugiharto at the corruption court in Jakarta, Thursday.

The judged said the two defendants had planned the corruption in the e-KTP procurement project since the process of the budget discussion in the DPR. It is known from the money asked by former DPR's commission II chairman Burhanudin Napitupulu to Irman.

Irman previously declined Burhanudin's request but Burhanudin said Andi Agustinus alias Andi Narogong had the money ready at that time. Andi then met with Irman and asked him to meet Golkar faction head Setya Novanto. According to Andi, Setya is the key person to make the e-KTP budgeting accepted by DPR.

"Setya Novanto then voiced out his support to the e-KTP project at the meeting in Gran Melia hotel," said judge Anwar.

KPK have named Markus Nari and Setya Novanto the suspects of e-KTP graft after Irman, Sugiharto, dan Andi Agustinus. Meanwhile, Miryam S. Haryani has been named as a suspect for giving out false testimony.
