TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National SAR Agency (Basarnas) chief Junior Marshal Muhammad Syaugi said that the black box of the agency’s helicopter that crashed in Temanggung, Central Java, has been found. It will later be examined by authorities to find out the causes of the incident.
Syaugi said that the causes of the incident are not yet known because many factors were good. He said that according to the data from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the weather around the scene was conducive to flying.

Moreover, Syaugi said that the helicopter was in airworthy condition. He added that the pilot was qualified to fly the helicopter. "But we don’t know what the condition on the ground was," he said.
A Dauphin helicopter belonged to Basarnas crashed on Mount Butak Temanggung District in Central Java. The helicopter was headed to Banjarnegara to help an evacuation process following the eruption of Sileri Crater in Dieng Plateau.
Eight passengers of Basarnas helicopter were military and Basarnas members. The bodies of the victims were recovered from the scene at 3 am today and were taken to hospital before being handed over to their families.
