TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A contraflow traffic system will be implemented on Jakarta – Cikampek toll roads as a number of vehicles returning from Eid holidays increases.
State-owned toll road operator Jasa Marga Jakarta-Cikampek chapter reports congestion of Jakarta-bound vehicles on the toll road from KM 71 to KM 66. Therefore, the police have contraflow system in place in KM 65 – KM 41.

“Congestion occurs as traffic from Cileunyi and Palimanan met. To ease congestion, Jasa Marga Jakarta-Cikampek chapter will implement contraflow traffic management,” Jasa Marga Corporate Communication Dwimawan Heru Santoso said in a written statement received yesterday, June 29.
He added that the contraflow system, which previously applied since 3 pm from KM 53A to KM41A, will be extended to KM 65A to KM41A starting at 8 pm. The contraflow system will be implemented in the police discretion, whereas Jasa Marga will provide support such as signs, rubber cones, and personnel.
By implementing contraflow traffic management, road users are asked to take the right lane. Jasa Marga officers will continue to coordinate with toll road police personnel to monitor traffic on Jakarta-Cikampek toll road and to have a special traffic arrangement in place to address congestion as vehicles head to Jakarta after Eid al-Fitr.
