TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State toll road operator Jasa Marga announced a 20 percent toll road tariff discounts for road users who pay through electronic transactions or e-toll during the 2017 Eid exodus season.
“Jasa Marga will give a 20 percent discount for road users traveling through toll roads managed by Jasa Marga,” said the company’s Corporate Communication Assistant Vice President Dwimawan Heru on Wednesday, May 17.
Dwimawan says the 20 percent discount will only be eligible for the users of E-Money (Bank Mandiri), Brizzi (BRI), TapCash (BNI), and Flazz (BCA).
During the exodus season, the discount will apply three days before and the second day of Eid al-Fitr, as well as the fourth day to the sixth day of Eid.
“With the 20 percent discount for electronic money customers, Jasa Marga hopes that toll road users would shift the cash to non-cash payments,” Dwimawan said.
He added that by utilizing electronic transactions, the duration of a transaction at a toll booth can be considerably slashed which also can reduce the number of vehicles queuing in line.
