TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Dozens of kiosks at Kramat Jati Market, east Jakarta, were razed by fire at 2:05 Monday. As many as 19 fire trucks were deployed to the scene.
“Yes, fire razed dozens of cooking ingredient kiosks at Kramat Jati Market,” east Jakarta fire department officer Maulidin told Tempo today. “The fire has been put out, but is still cooling off.”

Maulidin could not yet confirm the causes of the fire. However, provisional investigation said it was caused by short circuits. He said that there were no reports of casualties in the incident.
East Jakarta fire and rescue office personnel Sinaga said that 90 kiosks stood at 900 square meters were burned, causing an estimated loss of Rp2.7 billion.
